Where is the boder PROJECT

We want to meet in a village on polish-ukrainian border to explore our tradition through songs, tales, and working together.


There is a village in Poland near Ukrainian border, where now live 5 people. Before the war (II WW) it used to be a prosperous settlement inhabited by many nationalities. In the woods surrounding the village there are remainings of a monastery still visited by groups of pilgrims. We have a house there and want to take opportunity to meet there and work with the tradition of the area. We want to discover the history of polish-ukrianian frontier. The history of the monastery and the holy icon. We will do this by gathering songs, singing them, visiting people still living in the village, listening their stories. The outcome of the project can be a website describing the area, a photo album, the songs we learn and perform.

Tradition Quest on SALTO YOUTH

We are informal group of young people 18-30 interested in traditional coulture. Some of us are skilled musicians. We lead our own research on traditional music, tales and customs. We cooperate with individuals and organizations similar to our profile in Poland and Europe. Traditional and folk musicians, craftsmen activists, passionates. We take part and organize workshops and festivals. We are looking for partners for intenational projects about coultural diversity, cross-border integration, imigrants etc. involving working on traditional culture material like songs, tales, playing instruments etc. We speak English, German, Italian and French.
